Hey guys.
Last two months or so whenever i get in reverse or drive to get out of my driveway, there is a loud thud that shakes the whole car.
I have a 2015 pp gt. Now it is rather cold up here in ny but either way it cant be the cause.
2015 GT PP here as well, I’m in Texas and it does it during the 100 degree summers. So tempature i can confirm shouldn’t be the culprit.
I believe i read on here that it has to do something with the ball joints that the PP uses. This was a common topic in 2015. Try searching something along the lines of “loud pop when turning” see if anything turns up
By chance do you have front camber plates/bolts? What about wheel spacers?
I did add about a week ago camber bolts and eibach lowering springs and it started making a spongy kind of sound when hitting a speed bump. Looked it up and it could possibly be the bushings? I havent had the chance to install the spacers yet
Thread about this on the daily on FB S550 group. Seems to be the tires and cold. Like you hear a loud thud and the steering wheels shifts a little when turning the wheel. Only happens in cold weather for majority. If its happening in the summer I'd get that checked. Happens to me to. Consensus seems to normal.
Ive noticed this twice in the recent cold snaps here in Houston.
Its one noticeable jerk upon initially setting off, while turning left. The only possibly related issues that is my car now pulls left and the steering wheel now gimps to the left.
