Since I want an MSRP deal, I think I might have to plan this out a bit. Looking for an September or later delivery date, and a local dealer if possible. Local as in anywhere in CA. The closer to Silicon Valley, the better.

Is that even a possibility right now considering most owners in CA are getting their MSRP out of state. Should I contact all the dealers near me now, and try to put a deposit down? Its my first time ordering a car and dealing with deposits.

Thanks in advance.

See if Ford Store Morgan Hill has a list for the '17s yet. They're a no ADM dealer. The only one I know of over there.

+1. Unfortunately all their MY2016s were presold before the order banks even opened.

Walnut Creek Ford also said they were a no ADM dealer, yet would not take my order/deposit unless I came into the dealership. I found a solid deal and went with it, but never checked back if they were legit.

Auburn Ford also sold theirs for MSRP, but they are small and only got 1 car and it was already sold, might have luck with their 2017.

If you dont mind shipping a car, then lots of deals to be had out of state

Close to silicon valley, yeah good luck. One guy reported getting one at 5k over from Sunnyvale , most others are listed at 10-20k over in the area.

It's a tough question to answer. Will demand go down if you wait a little longer? Maybe. The competition is definitely working at producing something to beat the GT350, and once that's out it may become easier to buy a GT350 at a reasonable price.

I guess it depends on how much you want the car and how much work you are willing to do. I really wanted one, so I paid over MSRP to get one. If I were in your position I would start calling now and keep calling until I found a deal. The problem is - the word is out and it might be a lot tougher to find a deal now than it was over a year ago when I started looking.

Thanks, I just called to get on their wait list. They don't disclose their wait list number though, so going in blind there, but at least my foot is in the door.

Nope, their MY2016s, not sure if they got a MY2015. Fuhrius on here gave me the lead to give them a call right after the order banks officially opened and they said they had all been essentially presold for awhile.

Indeed, the one of the only dealers in the greater SF bay area without markup, so im guessing their waitlist was formed well in advance

Because of all of this, Ford will be raising the price on '17's as they're leaving money on the table. Just like the B302's and the GT500's.

I think a lot of Californians couldn't get one for MSRP, hence going out of state. Hoping that since I'm calling around 8-12mo in advance will heighten my chances of getting on locally for that.

Just called Walnut Creek, they said no ADM except on special cars. The sales guy said they've sold a 2015, but no 2016 yet. Didn't bother asking for more details since they will have ADM on it. Thanks though
