that hooks up well at the strip. Rims are 20 x 11 My current tire is a mickey Thompson Street comp 305-35-20 and they do not hook well at all, average 6ft is 2.1 at the track, 2.3 on the street. I was looking at Nitto NT05, 555r, 555 G2. Anyone with input on these 3? Any other tires I should consider?

I had the Nitto NTO5'r on mine as a daily driver. I was surprised how long they lasted. I got 8k miles out of them. Got 1.7 60' times.

I run the NTO5R 285 / 40 / 18. I really like the tire. Ive been as fast as 1.58 60 ft. It is a great tire for a driver as well, got about 7k or 8k out of mine and I bet 150 runs down the track. I live up tin the foothills and when there aired up to 32 psi, they handle really good as well, great multi purpose tire. I have a brand new set on now.

OP I've run MTs with great success. 1.6-1.7 sixtys on average. What pressure are you running at the strip? Any tire will spin in the street at 33PSI and no burnout! I'm currently using nitto NTO5Rs they match the MT sixtys and are a little cheaper.

28-29 lbs, did you have the street comps? Maybe the set I got was old!

Try lowering the psi when your out playing and raise it for DD duties. When I'm drag racing at the strip. I run between 15-18 depending on the time of year.

Sorry don't mean to thread jack but will a 315/35/19 slick fit on a pp wheel?

No. You want an 11 inch wheel for a 335 tire.

Sorry for the typo. You would still want an 11 inch wheel for safety purposes. You can mount it on a 9 inch rim. But are you going to trust it at 140MPH like these cares are capable of? I run 305 Drag radials at the track on a 10 inch wheel and they buldge a little.

Nah I see what your saying. Well I don't plan on going past 120-130... I'd be using them for track only.. So hopefully it'll be alright... Thank you for the info
