Mounting your 235s on 8.5 or 9 inch rims would not necessarily be inappropriate. While 235 is probably the minimum you would want to put on a 9, they would fit just fine on 8.5s.Did see those before and do like the look. While your point of buying appropriate tires after the current tires wear out is valid, it will take me a long time to get there since my GT is in transit,The 18 x 8's will fit my new tires or vice versu, but the wheel isn't spec'd for 2019's.
