I far prefer to enjoy the scenery while in motion. In many cases opportunity to pull over is very limited, especially on two lane twisty mountain roads.
Auto distance control is one of the best inventions to be introduced to cars that can be used often; besides fully active suspension, auto dim mirrors, IR forward scanning, and stability control. Noise cancellation is also very nice, as well as indoor AQ control
