Posting for a friend. His car, Whipple tuned by Lund E85.
Mine Procharger tuned by Lund E85.
He is having some surging, backfiring when shifting. Although the car feels strong something is not right.
I thought by comparing my logs to his something might stand out.
I noticed a few things.

1) His total timing seems off 19.8 max (i see 22-23) maybe this is a whipple thing.
2) Only one of his AFR pids is registering (Bad O2 sensor?)
3) The one that is working, if correct looks like it is leaning out - correct? Mine are at 0.799 0.805 his 1.xxx

I know he should send DL into Lund, and he is. Lund is racing this week so it wont be a quick reply.
Thought some of the knowledge in here could give some insight.

I dont know what’s wrong but it’s weird that his maf Frequency rises but the flow flat-lines.

I’d be pretty nervous with that lambda where it’s at. Mine hit .910 in a log and it scared me into buying new fuel pumps and -8 line

The MAF lb/hr hitting the PID max isn’t that uncommon with big power. Lamba showing leaning out is concerning, as well as that bank 1 AFR not reading. Guessing fueling issue or like mentioned, bank 1 upstream O2 is shot.

Timing @ 19-23° is normal for 98-100 octane fuel or E85 tuning.

I wouldnt worry too much about the timing. 19 not too bad but agree 20-22 on e85 is more like it. The knock is looking good as it should be throwing more timing in there. definitely something wrong with your afr o2 sensor as its not registering. But your other afr2 seems too lean to me. Wanna see .78-.80.Need to see what his short term fuel trims are also doing under wot.
