I like it.........quite a lot. The interior is stunning and most of the exterior is very nice.

Personally though, I'm disappointed this isn't on a RWD platform with a twin turbo 4.0 V8........then I'd LOVE it.

Still, a 3.0 Ecoboost 6 and AWD.....

If it's a rear-biased RWD, then I'm cool with it (apart from any unnecessary weight increase). But if it's FWD-biased, then no thanks.

Hopefully it employs similar RWD-bias technology like the new Focus RS

Ford has been on a hot-streak lately, I doubt they will disappoint us with the new Continental

Especially if they are trying to compete in that price range

Color me impressed -- evidence of life at Lincoln.

While not the S550 based Hot Rod Lincoln I was, and still am, hoping for, it looks, finally, like a serious competitor in the large lux sedan market. As many Audi S/RS sedans clearly prove, a modern AWD platform can be a highly compelling one. The overall styling is great, kind of a very modern Jet Age interpretation without going some tacky full-backwards retro. The nose is a touch generic -- I see more than a little Kia K900 -- but still has the necessary substance and presence for this kind of car.

Now, how about that S550-based mid-size lux performance coupe and/or sedan, including a honking 5.0 as a follow up...

From what I hear, it's a punched out version of the F-150's 2.7, and Lincoln wants it to be exclusive to the brand. But that wouldn't prevent Ford from offering the 2.7 in the Mustang, either. The 2.7 is rated at 325-hp and 375-lb-ft of torque in F-150 tune. FoMoCo could easily bump up those numbers for use as a middle engine option in the Mustang when the 2.3 becomes the standard engine.

Word is that suicide doors to evoke the 3rd generation Continentals (1961-69) were considered, but Ford's lawyers nixed the idea.

I like the car, but hope they tone down the chrome a bit for the production car. I imagine the glare from all those interior polished metal bits when the sun is out could be blinding. Someone needs to tell the lawyers about that....

I would love to see Licoln use base s550 coupe to compete with Jaguar and Ashton Martin

This thing would look stunning in black. I do agree about the interior finish, little bit shiny. I think it would look good with aluminum trim in place of the chrome.

The interior is pretty sweet. I think they need to lay off the chrome for the production version. Seems like a mash-up of a few cars, but it'll probably looks sweet and different in person.. Just not so much come, please.
