*** EDITED TO CORRECT FOR MISSING DATA ***

Given the discussion here about relative rarity of HEP GT350Rs, how many are still to be produced etc. I thought it would be fun to get some hard data.

So I pulled every GT350R VIN from trackmymustang.com that matches the pattern 1FA6P8JZ-L555---- and broke the data down by status and color.

(Note that some delivered 2020 GT350Rs are no longer listed on trackmymustang.com, so the numbers built represent a subset of those actually built. The numbers scheduled for production are correct today, but will likely be a moving target)

I have good news and bad news :)

The bad news is that Wimbledon White is currently by FAR the least original color for a 2020 GT350R.
The good news is that only 21% of the HEP GT350Rs that have a VIN have actually been produced. So there are many more to come.

Here’s how the HEP GT350R data breaks down (note I didn't look at non-R HEP cars):

GT350Rs built to date: 76
Of which HEP editions: 24

GT350Rs scheduled for production: 174
Of which HEP editions: 89

Lowest HEP GT350R VIN: 0436
Highest HEP GT350R VIN: 1760

HEP GT350R by status (shown as HEP / total):

Delivered: 7 / 42
Received: 1 / 2
Shipped: 1 / 3
Passing Arrival: 0 / 1
Released: 0 / 1
Trim Line: 2 / 4
Body Shop: 2 / 7
Produced: 11 / 16
Scheduled to Day: 46 / 91
Scheduled to Week: 43 / 83

I am curious to know how you pulled the data on all these VINs. Did you just start at L5550001 and keep going one number higher and submitting or do you have another way of knowing each valid VIN? (Sorry if this is an idiotic question.)

I wrote a script that literally walks every possible combination looking for matches. Note that VINs have a unique digit before the L555 so it's not as simple as walking from 0000 to 9999, you also have to test for the unique digit. I stopped at around 3000 because I wasn't picking up any matches above 1800. It's possible there's a range I've missed, but someone can correct me on that. I'm not a VIN expert. I ended up manually matching the colors. I probably could have automated it, but when you combine color with stripe, there are quite a few combinations

Perhaps the time has arrived to create a .CSV list of our 350r's? Boards that I have participated, BMW Z4M coupe, members created a registry list.

Great information and thanks for posting.:like:

We all know where LR021 is residing but looks as though LR022 may be lurking somewhere or is enroute to some lucky new owner?

Based on your data are you suggesting that there will be a total of ~80 GT350R's that will come with the HEP option?

If that is the case would that not make the percentage of these cars already produced to be ~28% of the total cars to be assembled?

The other question that I have is that if 155 GT350R's are presently scheduled for production would that not make the Wimbledon White cars potentially the highest percentage of R's to be built to date?

Whatever the case thanks for posting this cool information and certainly gives us enthusiasts something to think about and digest.

One more question for you and that is how were you able to determine by the VIN which of these cars were GT350R HEP optioned cars and which ones were GT350 HEP cars as to the best of my knowledge there is no way to differentiate the two by the VIN?
