Lights flashing when using do-it-yourself car wash!

Has anyone else had their car have a fit while being washed? At a do-it-yourself car wash, the lights flashed on and off whenever I hit the sheet metal with the high pressure wand. It didn't matter where I sprayed...as soon as the water hit the car the lights would flash. I did have the key fob in my pocket. But I have never had the lights flash while washing the car before.

Well, that's part of the answer. The other part is that the water is engaging the capacitive sensor on the door handles.

i was at first because on my 14 i had the cobra jet manifold, and water would soak the filter and get sucked into the motor.

on my 16 i took it to a touchless wash and had zero problems. the position of the extractors is different i think.

Leave the fob inside the car when you are washing it.............
