I just got a 2020 and it has the lighted door sill plates and they are all bubbly. Is that normal? Does anyone else have that problem?

Is there a protective film over the plate? Maybe it wasn't removed. Can you post an image of it?

I thought that too but it seems as the entire thing is like that. I'm not at home right now but I can take some pics tonight and post.

These are what mine look like prior to installation, no bubbles. The blue film seen in the pic was covering both plates to prevent scratches etc.

Can you post a pic? It sounds like Dealership Prep people did not remove the protective layer from the sill.

Both sides are the same. Kinda crazy.
And the dealer didn't see that during prep? Not crazy, just sloppy. Ask the service manager and your salesman to look at it. A waste of your time to have to bring it back.

Oh yea - after seeing the image of the door sill - as others said, definitely warranty item. That should not be bubbled or curled up like that at all.

Dealer should not give you any issues.

Took a look at the car after reading this post and found the passenger side had a bubble in it, not to the extent of the OP. Took it to the dealer and he took pictures to send to Ford for authorization, by the time I got home had a message that it would be covered and the parts are on the way.
