There is a small disc where the manual door lock buttons used to be. I assumed it was a decorative covering for a manual device no longer used. However the other night I saw a small light in the middle of that disc that went out after a short bit. I have not seen it since nor have any lock related actions caused it to come back on. My curiosity makes me really wonder what the disc really is. Anybody know?

On my 2019 GT the light goes red when you lock it. I assume it is a visual indicator that it locked. It only stays on for a few seconds after it is locked.

I've always assumed (yes, I know) that it had something to do with the built-in security system. But really, I haven't given it a lot of thought.

Have had my car 2 years and never noticed that until you mentioned it, cool!
