Base GT budget build... Aligned in spec, no rubbing and definitely handling better than the stock 18s with 235s.

  • XXR 530, 19 x 10.75 +35 square
  • Firestone Indy 500, 275/40
  • 5mm spacer for fronts
  • Eibach Sportlines, Steeda Pro Actions, BMR front camber bolts

Here is my 2015 Roush with 18" x 9" Currently running 235/50-18. Sizing up on the tires in the next weeks to 255/45-18.
Just cannot decide what tire. Goodyear eagle f1 asymmetric 3 (Summer), BFG G-force sport comp-2 (Summer,) or Continental extreme contact DW (Summer).

How can you guys put 9.5" or 10" on the front. I thought you could not install wheels wider than 9" in the front?

10's on the front are EXTREMELY common. It's all in the specs. +35 offset on mine with 275's and no poking out past the fenders and no rubbing issues at all. No spacers required either.

10" is common, fitment (offset + tire size) is key. I got a 10.75" (effectively 11") to fit without any issues on 275-40, I could even go with 305/35 if want. I just needed 5mm spacers to clear the strut.

So i can install 9.5" in the front and it will clear the brakes? The reason why I am asking is because I want to install the same wheel with the same specs on all four corners so I can rotate them.

Well, this is the "square setup" thread, so everybody in here has same widths on all four corners. Check out previous posts to see what's doable.

Wheel OFFSET is key here. Less pushes the wheel towards the fender, more pushes towards the strut.

fender <--- (-) --- wheel --- (+) ---> strut

Fender vs wheel hub placement isn't the same in front vs back so some chose same width and offset on all four, some others have different offset for front vs rear. Generally, you have "better" or "proportional" fitment with more offset in rear vs front, but then again, it all depends on the look you want to achieve (poke, flush, tucked), if your are lowered and by how much, how much camber you want to run and tire profile.

With 9.5 you shouldn't be too worried unless you get wheels with very high offset (something like +50 and over) as they might contact with the front strut. In that case you need spacers to push it out a bit.

Thank you man. I have noticed that a lot of people have different offset on the front and on the rear wheels. I really like concave wheels that are flush with the fender, but I would also like to rotate the tires from the front to the back and vise-versa.
