Great looking grill, definitely going to order one... When you test fit on the ecoboost can you snap some pics of the driver side upper grill where it goes into the airbox? We are doing pressure drop testing on the factory intake to see if and where the issues in its design are. We are also going to look at the effect of opening up the grill where it meets the airbox, if we find meaningful gains we would recommend your grill. Let me(pm me) know if you'd want it tested to see it's affect on factory airbox efficiency.

Fitment has been confirmed on the Ecoboost.

Obviously flow for cooling, will be improved. Probably not by much. Gas mileage will technically decrease. Ford closed up some of the honey comb for improved aero and gas mileage. Now whether it's a discernable amount or not, I don't know. Probably only noticed on highway trips.

I would be worried about this as a DD. The grill, regardless that it has a honeycomb pattern, still has the ability to deflect rocks and other things flying a around on highways.

Seems like this would be great for the track but not so much for a DD? Are you just taking a chance nothing will damage something behind the grill?

FYI - Rocks = Colorado, you'll replace your windshield once a Year here :)

What do you think?

I do really like the looks but not sure about real world use. Not trying to bash the product at all because im interested but cautious also.

We just got back from Mustang Week 2015 (2,000+ miles round trip) and our FMIC and Radiator are in excellent condition.

You could always add some mesh behind it, but the GT500 has a very wide-open grille as well

Thanks Nick

I do also like the idea of adding some Mesh back there.

Did you notice any difference in drivability or MPG?

Also how hard is this for someone that is scared to death of messing with the body :) (installation)

Yea I like the mesh grilles. The delete looks cool but I had a paper mcdonalds bag fly up and get wedged in my lower grille a couple weeks ago and didn't even know it. I'd imagine if the grille wasn't there it could have been a potential fire hazard if it went in and got stuck under the turbo/engine

I didn't notice any differences in driveability or MPG, however I did cry myself to sleep when I realized that our 2015 EcoBoost is faster than my 2007 GT 3V lol
