Back in the late 90's I had a 71 Plymouth RoadRunner 440 cid 727 auto. Had a mechanical .512 cam, holley 850, TM7 intake, ported 915 heads, 2.19/1.71 valves, 1.6 roller rockers, 10.5 cr, 2" primary headers, trick MSD ignition, accel 8.8mm wires, E3 plugs, 3000 stall converter, 3.91 gears, electric water pump, no power steering, no power brakes, no AC, cabin was always hotter than hell, interior was louder than a can full of rocks, PITA to drive, and still slower than my 5.0.

Nothing noticeable but it looks good. Lol
Ha, well, it's barely visible down there, so I hope it wasn't just for looks. I installed mine today but haven't driven it yet (started it up and let it idle for a few minutes after the install to make sure it rotated perfectly smooth) - I will drive it to the office in the morning, but I'm not expecting to be able to feel a difference.

For those curious, the MMR 3-bolt pulley weighs exactly 13 ounces, and the factory steel pulley is twice as heavy at 1 lbs 10 ounces. That's 0.81 lbs difference. FWIW that's almost a pound of very fast spinning weight ahead of the front axles - the pulley is located about 9" in front of the front axle centerlines.

I'm a believer in the little things adding up because it worked on my old Trans Am: Lighten it here, add some hp there, some more lightening, then add a few more hp a few more times...my FBO+comp cam+aluminum high ratio roller rocker arms modified LT1 powered '95 Trans Am I mentioned earlier was faster than FBO LS1 M6 F bodies at the time that didn't do all the extra little things that I did, which added up on that car.

I know these obscure mods are little things - but like I said - the little things add up. Items on my potential "someday" list for weight reduction are:

Lightweight front/rear brake rotors
Lightweight battery
Aluminum lightweight driveshaft
CF trunk deck lid (we'll see).
