looking to replace my 18. i am torn between waiting to see what the 19 350 brings and picking up a leftover 17. would you guys have any concerns over a brand new vehicle that has been just sitting for a year and a half to two years now?

Why sell a ā€˜18 350 for an older one?

Pretty sure this is the one that was crashed into at the dealer and think the dealer bought back or/buying back...canā€™t recall end result

I picked up a '17 that sat on the showroom floor for over a year. 1k miles so far and no issues. The only thing is it has the spin-on oil filter, not the canister.

My 16 sat on the showroom floor for well over a year. Been driving the snot out of it with zero issues the past 6 months.

No problem with spin on filter as long as it is torque properly.

I second that on the spin on filter. Mine is a early 17 with it. And as said as long as you oil the gasket (not put on with dry gasket like some fool was posting to do to get a better seal. owners supplement even states to put oil on gasket) and torque to specs (torque written right on top of filter) you will never have a problem with it coming loose.

There is no significant difference in model years other than the oil filter. I've had both, and either would be fine with me. If a car sat in a showroom for a year, I would not have a problem with it. Just look it over for the usual scuff marks where people brush up against it. Look over the seats/interior very well to ensure the alcantara is not damaged or beat up. Also, check out the windshield wiper contact point on the hood, if nicked, it could be a negotiating point in your favor.

First post...I've been wondering the same thing. I live in Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and several dealers have '17 GT350s marked down to $69.9k CAD (approx. $54.4k USD) before taxes. Several of them have less than 20 miles on them and they look good. I test drove one for the first time last weekend (what an amazing car!).

I'm really liking Kona blue (with white stripes), which I know is an '18 color. Just not sure that's worth an extra $10k CAD vs a marked down '17.

I love Ruby Red on the GT350, and more likely than not would have chosen it over my current color if I had the option(RR wasnt' available on 2016 GT350's).

Would I have chosen RR if it would have been $10kCAD/$7,800USD difference? Absolutely not. There really isn't a bad color on the GT350, you win with any color. If you stumble upon a solid color, you can always add stripes later.

I agree Shift. One of the 17s they have in stock is Ruby Red (no stripes) at $73k CAD. http://www.discoveryford.com/new/ford/mustang/2017-red-shelby-gt350Ā®-5175993.html

They have the '18 Kona with white stripes and an '18 Oxford White with Blue Stripes sitting right next to each other at the same dealer. Both at MSRP. Decisions, decisions...

The white with blue stripes is so iconic I couldn't pass one up if I was in the market. Otherwise Ruby Red is an amazing color and I love mine.

I went with the white/blue and love it. The Reds look amazing clean but I drive my car and I swear white hides the dust and grunge better than any other color besides the greys..
