I've had mine replaced twice and determined that if I fill mine above the "Low" mark when the engine is cool, then when the engine gets hot, it will either break where the black section attaches to the white section, or it will leak from the cap like your video shows.

Any head gasket issues?

Have you checked coolant level when the car is stone cold; where’s it at on the level meter?

As of now yours still leaks from the cap?

I don’t think it would be a head gasket issue since the engine coolant and supercharger coolant is two different systems

True… read through too fast… and response was based on the reg coolant overflow…

does the Whipple system have air in it that needs to be bled off?
https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/easy-ways-to-purge-air-in-whipple-ic-hes.55392/

did you check the o-rings to make sure boost is not blowing past?
You good brother. And the system doesn’t have air in it we made sure of that after replacing the cap and tank. It only leaks once the car is off like it’s building pressure. And could you explain checking o ring and boost not blowing past?

Whipple does recommend bleeding it and they posted a video on how to do it.

I had to do it myself when I noticed that my coolant was low and topped it off.

That’s also why I had asked if the system was bled of all air…. Because that vid has been around on a few forums with Whipple installs …. :)

As for the “o ring”, I’m referring to the orange rubber gasketing under the lid, reminds me of a giant o-ring type seal, rather than the old school “gasket material”…

I had topped mine off without bleeding it and kept heating a gurgling sound but it never actually leaked. After bleeding it the gurgle went away and it’s been ok since.

Sorry, I honestly don’t recall looking at the o-ring under the coolant cap. But I seen them vary on different kits.
