Well, i installed some weather tech mats on my 2015 GT. I noticed some fluid accumulating on the mats, nothing huge but noticeably out of the ordinary. I take a look under the dash and there is fluid coming out of where the pushrod of the clutch goes through the firewall.

I am taking it into the dealer but, has anyone had this happen? Is there anything or info that I could pass along to the dealer if this is a common thing?

Some weepage from the clutch master cylinder seal is normal. It will appear as a wet residue. If there is visible fluid dripping onto the floor, then that would indicate a failed master cylinder.

It is dripping onto the mat, every time I drive it. I took it in today, so hopefully it gets fixed soon.

Thanks for your reply!

First time I've heard anyone report this problem, so it's probably a pretty rare issue. The dealer should fix you up pretty fast.

Just to update, if anyone cares. Had a bad master cylinder. Its been replaced and I pick the car up shortly. I will report back if anything is odd or different.

Thanks for all the insight.

Sooo it appears this exact issue decided to manifest itself on my 2016 GT PP over the past week. I have cleaned up the mess about 4 times and after a 10 mile drive for commute, this is the result:

The car just hit 12,000 miles and took delivery in April this year. Off to the dealership it will go to confirm if it is a bad clutch master cylinder.

Anyone else have this issue? seems like it might not be too noticeable at first if you don't have the weathertech floormatts or something similar.

I had the same problem in my ecoboost last year. The car was at the dealership for 6 weeks waiting for parts.
Make sure they tighten everything up and use lock tite on the bolt that secures the clutch pedal. Mine came loose three weeks after I got the car back. Brought it in and they had the car another week to figure out what loosened up. The finally tightened it up and it loosened up again, but I was able to tighten it back up before it came off.

As an update: I took the car into the dealer and they verified the master clutch cylinder was defective and replaced it under warranty. The repair was completed in two days. The dealer did a good job and took good care of me with a loaded loaner Fusion while the work was done. The ecoboost fusion was fun, but glad to have the stang back.

Add me to the list today. 2015 Ecoboost, 12/14 build date, 19,500 miles. I noticed a few drips of clutch fluid on the dead pedal and wiped it up. I could clearly see another drip ready to fall where the push rod connects to the clutch pedal. We'll see how quickly the leak worsens. Now the decision... Spend around $40 on a brand new OEM replacement and install myself, or take it to the dealer. Does anyone have any experience with how difficult the clutch system is to bleed on the 'Stang?

After some further research, I found the clutch bleeding procedure here:

http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=70006&d=1459876325.

The big question is, does the whole pedal assembly need to come out, or can I remove the clutch master cylinder by removing the two bolts that hold it to the bracket once the lines and pedal linkage are disconnected?
That clutch bleeding procedure just uses a vacuum pump on the master cylinder. Go do a search on YouTube and you'll see how it's done with a vacuum pump on the master cylinder.

Thread revival bump. Can anybody point me to a DIY for replacing the MC? I have this same issue and of course the dealership and aftermarket powertrain warranty are not covering under powertrain because it's an "external part". Dealer wants ~$700 to do the job....no thanks
