Just posted about this. Mine is a 2016 V6 mustang. I just passed 12k miles. Looks like to the dealer she goes. I have stock mats so i didn't notice until i was detailing the car over the holidays.

My clutch pedal is leaking fluid onto the dead pedal. It's currently just dripping. I also don't see the reservoir. Does anyone know where this is?

Got the phone call this morning. Get to pick up the car tonight.

I'm told mine was rod bearing failure.

Mine does this on and off. Has since about 3k miles. Sometimes longer, sometimes shorter times. Haven't been to the dealer about it yet.

My failure was also bottom end and rod bearing related. Hoping the motor comes in this week.

No worries. My throttle body died at 6500 miles as well. I'm hoping the new motor they are installing doesn't have the same throttle body issue. I'm told it will be a complete engine.

I would bet money its a defective throttle body. Mine happened at 6500 miles and many other V6 owners have had this same issue. Lets hope they aren't on national back order again.

Got a call today. They have decided to replace the engine. I am told the engine is on National back order. Expected ship date of 11/18/2016. He did not give me specifics of what failed. I plan on speaking with the regional service manager later today to get some more clarification.

Also how low can our engines be on oil before a warning light is triggered?

The car didn't leak any oil that I'm aware of. None on the ground at home or at work. Not exactly sure where it could have gone. I don't like to just assume things, but maybe it wasn't as low on oil as they are saying.

I have been a bit more liberal with keeping an eye on all parts of this car. I really didn't think i would need to do oil checks that often, but hindsight is 20/20. Going forward i will pay much closer attention. I'll be honest i wanted something fun to drive but decent on gas and was hoping for...

Just for clarification i did a full synthetic oil change at 2500 miles after my break in. I go 7500 between oil changes and use Mobil 1 oil. I had checked the oil at 7500 miles and all was good.

From the research i have done, Florida lemon law is 15 days. He said if metal has spread throughout the motor i will get a complete engine.

Update: Motor still isn't pulled. Now I'm told they want to crack it open see what failed and then decide if i get a long or short block. We are at 13 days it's been at the dealer. He says he hopes to have it done in 2 weeks. Then starts giving me shit about it being 2 Quarts low on oil. I told...

I'm told i will have a new engine in 7-10 days. The tech says there is a lower end knock. They have not told me yet what failed.

I'm told its a bottom end knock. They have decided to replace the engine. I asked if they knew exactly what failed and he said they had not cracked open the engine yet.

Nothing from the Dealership yet. I have zero mods. So no dancing around this issue.
