Tried Allen Ford earlier today but they were firm at £37895 with £4240 deposit and £389 for 3 years. Will have to try a bit harder I think as there are obviously deals to be had based on what folks have already mentioned

The local dealer here (Hendy Ford Portsmouth) has a few with "£475 down, £475 a month, 0% interest" so... that's the deal I guess. No idea if that's discounted (I doubt it). They've only just become a Ford Store though, so you'll struggle to find them on the Ford.co.uk site (they aren't there, just the Van dealership behind them, oddly!).

I’ve been playing the three Scottish dealers off each other to try and get a better deal. People’s in Edinburgh are now off the list, I got fed up with the amount of tosh spouted down the phone at me. Dealing over the phone isn’t for me. Weather permitting I’m off to Park’s in Inverness for a face to face.

Evans Halshaw in Glasgow were very pleasant when I wan in there. I never really pushed them much on prices for a MY17 when I was in as I was more interested in the 18 however I got the impression that the price was the price and that the offer on the 17’s was the 0%.

I get that the 0% is a big attraction but I don’t want to pay list price give or take a few quid for a car that’s been discontinued and is now an old model.

I agree with you re Evans Halshaw, they have been very pleasant and helpful. But It now appears they cannot source the spec I want. So it’s Parks Inverness that are left with what I’m after. I’ll head up there at the weekend and see what kind of deal they can put together. If that doesn’t work out then I need to widen my search.

Went with my brother to collect his TP Shadow which he purchased from Sandicliffe Nottingham today. 0% finance, piece of cake.

Not first in country at all, it only arrived 2 days ago. There's been the one [MENTION=21522]Eclipsar[/MENTION] saw a few weeks back, that ones easily one of the first.

Seems that these crazy deals from Ford is already impacting used prices further, here is a used GT for 25k, not even 2000 miles:

once all the 17's have gone though prices will creep back up though as the fall back new price will be the higher price of the 18's so just sit on it for a bit and it'll increase once the supply of good deal/cheap new has vanished.
