What a disappointment, especially with so few miles on. The Coyote 5.0 has been around for many years now and has had a great reputation
as far as I am aware. Looks like they may have dropped the ball with these judging from the issues now appearing.
Congrats - sure you will love it. A different beast from the Cayman. But then German cars rarely do anything for me so I would take the 'Stang every time !
Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I was already registered on Etis but had forgotten. Did the window sticker and printed it off as well.
I'm looking at a Jan '17 built 5.0. There are two potential issues that came to mind namely the air con evaporator failures and the oil cooler failures...
Thanks for the info everyone. I had previously registered on Etis but had forgotten about it !
Its showing me a January '17 build and March '17 UK registration.
Cannot get the window sticker though - sadly not available for the car in question.
Hoping to avoid the air con evaporator issues...
Have searched but nothing I can see - is there anyway to find a specific build date from the VIN ?
I'm looking at '17's mostly but curious to know how far back they may have been built.
Bit late to add a comment but .. I recently painted the exhaust on my '13 5.0 while I had it removed from the car and used regular 2K paint and lacquer. Its discoloured from the heat up the front end but anything from about halfway back has stayed perfect after many miles. Specific high...
Agreed on both counts .. its a no brainer to me given current parts and labour costs on late model stuff. You buy a new car and before you know its 2 years old and you're counting down the last 12 months of warranty before being out on you're own with it. What would something like an oil cooler...
Just checked .. PCP is showing at 5.9%.
Can't remember 100% but I think 5.9% was the Ford Options rate before it went to 0% .. so it could be worth chasing in case its not been updated.
Carwow provided me a quote of £36,563 for a GT manual Custom Pack which is a reasonable discount.
One thing looks pretty certain - the 18's UK arrival doesn't look set to cause the stir we saw with the first cars a couple of years ago.
I bought a new DSG equipped car 18 months ago - used it twice and it's sat in the garage ever since !
Not going to make that mistake again.
Manual all the way for me. Especially if its bolted to the back of a sweet V8.
I took a look at an unregistered Grabber Blue GT the other day. Love the GB but this was auto with ceramic seats which looked wrong to my eyes.
I think finding the spec you want might be a killer especially by March. Would be good to see some kind of list of what is available.
It looks like the only way to currently get Ford Acquire at 0% is with 50% up front deposit (£19k+) and either 2 or 3 year terms with much, much larger monthly payments.
Options with £13k down and £179 a month sounds like a fine way to get into a new GT to me.
For anyone seriously looking to buy an S550 Fords current 0% PCP must make a new car look appealing vs used. Personally I would look at maximum initial deposit then the monthly payments are silly low. Example - GT V8 no options, £13333.25 initial deposit, 36 months at £179.94 with 6k annual...
Won't argue with that. But in reality and for a multitude of reasons not so many people appear to be keeping their S550's long term. So many names have come and gone on the various forums alone where people have sold up.
Just how many of the original UK S550 buyers still have their car ...
When the original UK prices were announced there was strong interest and Ford played on that to their advantage which is understandable. A couple of years down the line things look a bit different. My nearest Fordstore had a whole line of new unsold, unregistered Mustangs when I last called in...
