Ok guys so a little back ground on what i have. 2017 GT MT82 3:55s, GT350 manifold/ throttle body, PMAS GT350 CAI, Long tube headers with off road mid pipe, RST clutch lightened steel flywheel, DSS CF drive shaft, Gforce axles, Full BMR suspension, and Lund flex tune.
Car runs fantastic and i have no complaints on the cars performance, but its time to add a little more. I will be installing MMR OPGs and crank sprocket soon, and figured while Ive got it tore apart i might as well drop in some intake cams and get a little more power out of it. From the little bit thats out there, seems most people pick up around 20HPish from the intake cams and don't lose any power under the curve. If i do end up going with the cams i will do my best to try and get a before and after dyno done to try and record the gains just from the cams.
Also i noticed that L&M recently added the exhaust cams as an option to go along with the intake cams. You guys think those would be worth the extra cost/effort? I spoke with mike from L&M and he said there should be anywhere from 10-15 HP added going with the exhaust cams too. Said he hadn't had anyone send him any results as of yet though.
I'm looking for any first hand experience from people who have done the swap. Was it worth the time and effort? Anyone out there that want to chime in who have given the intake cams a shot? what about anyone who has tried the intake and exhaust cams?
