"So I still need to purchase some DRL's, the fog lights I've bought will be just that, fog lights?"- Correct :)

"Sorry for all the questions "- No need of saying sorry, ask as many questions as you like, everyone on this forum is ready to help. That's what I like about this forum.
Ok, back to Blingworks.com I go then, ha ha ha!! So glad I've completely sorted that out though.

There is an absolute massive amount of knowledge on here, I don't post a lot but I sure do read a lot and it's been a great help, possibly cost me a lot of money too though, ha ha ha!!

Thanks to all those who have helped me in here. I've now got my car completely LED kitted out (when the car arrives that is).

I went with DD interior kit, fog lights, smoked side markers and reverse lights. Then hopped over to Blingworks and bought the DRL, Parker and fog light set. So I unfortunately have doubled up on the fog lights but at least I've got everything I need now.

You won't regret it. The interior and exterior LED upgrades really make a difference.

Thanks, I think you're right there. From all the pics I've seen the LED upgrade looks great, especially on the front of the car, making it look much more modern. I went for the brightest reverse lights since I'm going to have them tinted but I also went for the brightest interior package so that's the one I'm a little nervous about. I hope it's not too bright. I'm really looking forward to the side makers though, such a better look over the standard orange reflectors we get here.

I have the brightest interior lights and am very happy. Not too bright at all.

I did the same on the reverse light and it make a big difference at night when reversing.

The DRL's look so much better, As too do the front indicators being changed to LED like the rears. Similarly the front park lights pop with LED's.

Re interior lights, I haven't seen them but I believe always go for the brightest you can. Most of the time they're off anyway. Next greatest amount of time is when you're entering or exiting the car and they're only on for a short period and you're not going to notice them. Third is those few times when you need to see something and for those few times you're always going to be thankful for having plenty of light. My 5c worth anyway.

I totally agree. The stock interior lights are very dim and have that incandescent orange tinge. The LED's a a beautiful bright light and the front cabin pops with those map lights. The glove compartment and boot/trunk both benefit greatly with the LED's in terms of how easy it is to see vs the stock lamps.

Money well spent

Glad to hear the interior lights aren't going to be too bright. I thought I couldn't go wrong with making the reverse lights as bright as possible.

I didn't change the front indicators to LED though, I didn't think there would be much of a difference with those. Do you think they're worth doing?

Any of you looked at this?

LED bulbs throwing hidden faults which accumulate in your BCM (Body Control Module computer) - get to a maximum number then it fails the BCM - can't e reset - toast. This guy had a warranty denial it appears. I have some LED bulbs in (not DD, supplier unfortunately substituted out) and I have the Blingworks pack ready to go in but now thinking of not proceeding. Thoughts?

I guess it's all about personal taste. For me, I love the brightness and crispness of the LED's and I figured if I had them on the rear than I should have them on the front (my OCD kicking in possibly).

As I had Blingwork do the lot for me I was the front indicators as an incremental cost, so might as well get them all done at the same time.

I've kept all the original bulbs so that when I sell the car the buyer will have the ability to return it to stock.

Hi guys, I finally got around to fitting my front set of LED's (DRL, parker and fog lights). So much better now and looks like how it should of from the factory, minus the tri-bar DRL's.

Photos don't really do them justice as the camera seems to pick them up flickering at different rates.

My question is though, why the difference between the Diode Dynamics fog light and the Blingworks fog light? The Blingworks is almost identical to the stock halogen in size, it's just that it's LED. The Diode Dynamics fog light though is massive by comparison.

Initially I couldn't get the DD fog light into the housing due to its size so I went with the Blingworks when I was doing the lights in the drivers side. Then as I started to fiddle with the lights again for the passenger side I noticed that the cap on the end of the DD light could be unscrewed which then made it possible to fit into the fog light housing.

Do you think having this cap unscrewed will matter? It seems to make no difference at all, I don't see what the point in it is. So for the moment I have one DD fog light and one Blingworks fog light, the DD is definitely brighter too.

The blingworks one is a fairly 'generic' one. It is used on other cars. It looks like the ones you can get from ebay for a few bucks but better looking finishing and packaging. Unfortunately the dimension of the 3 tabs on the ebay ones are either off, or the shaft is too long.

Not sure if the DD ones are 'generic'. However it appears as though they have their own drivers.

Wasnt there some post about leds causing hidden error codes? My only guess it the DD are unlike too??
