One of my key fobs has decided that the car needs to stay unlocked. And the windows need to be rolled down.

Yesterday, I was out doing errands and had no issues. I got home, unloaded the car, and went inside. I went back out a few minutes later and the windows were down. I thought maybe I forgot to roll them up, so I did, and locked the doors. I turned around, started walking and heard them unlock. I looked back and the lights flashed again, and a few seconds later the windows rolled back down.

The key worked fine all day, then this. I only have the key fob and one key chain on it, so it wasn't being pressed accidentally. I took it out of my pocket and it still did it.

Could it be a battery issue? Has this happened to anyone else? The only way I got it to stop is to take apart the fob and remove the batteries. Luckily the other fob is working fine.

I have really only used the one fob since new.

If the other fob is working, then you obviously have a defective fob.
I would take the whole thing apart and see if there is something making the unlock button stick, like something under the pad, or something jamming the button.

It is in pieces at the moment, and I took the rubber boot off, tried putting all back together after wiping lint away from the buttons, buttons inside look fine.

I'm going to try new batteries before thinking of getting a new fob. I just don't want to only have one.

Shouldn't that be covered under warranty?
Maybe if you could prove it was a malfunction? I don't know, they might consider it an accessory or something.

Issue resolved, at least appears so. I changed out the batteries and it hasn't tried to unlock the doors on its own yet, but the fob works.

Seems like an odd way to let you know the batteries are going dead though.
