Car is for street only, no track time...the occasional pull on onramps. All of the cars I’ve had were fun but I always get used to the power. Besides the fact of having a supercharged coyote, I’ve found Flight control in Whipple tune kills that problem. Car dyno’d at 650 whp (Dynojet, SAE, 93, 4th gear pull (not 1:1 on my 17 MT82)). I turn OA on and dial in 25% torque reduction, and the car seems a bit more powerful than when my car was NA with FP PP3, but not by a lot. Feels nice considering the car is not breaking a sweat, but once I get used to it I dial it up to GT350 power, then eventually gen5 ZL1, then hellcat (correcting for weight), and finally I put some boostane in, OA off and 0% torque reduction. SAVAGE. Until I get used to it and dial it back again.

highly recommended if you are just a street guy with a Whipple and flt control or your tune replicates it. Definitely doesn’t feel the same as trying to do this by manually going part throttle.

I’m sorry but to me this is like sleeping with your wife/girlfriend but stopping Right before you finish then doing this over and over getting closer each time for weeks/months. So it would be better when you do finish and then start all over.
To each his own I guess but no thank you not for me

Yeah, I totally understand. I think most folks want to push to more and more power for the sport of it, bragging rights and when they get used to what they have. Or they just like feeling the full potential all the time. I get that.

For me, who will never drag race on street or track, it's all about the experience of power when I put my foot down and let it rev up. When I was a teenager a friend had an 85 GT and man, that car felt awesomely powerful and fast compared to our cars at the time. I wish I could recapture that...if I drove an 85 GT now in exactly the same condition I'd think it was a slug, way more consistent with a Camry than a muscle car to covet. I want a 210 crank hp, 91mph trap speed '85 GT to feel fast to me again so I can realize how awesomely powerful our Coyote-powered cars are. 0-60 in the low 4s and trap speeds of 110-115 (I'm talking about manuals here) would have been beyond exotic, an impossible dream. But it's mundane now, you get used to it. Pushing beyond 650whp would only make 3rd gear become unusable on street tires and I don't want to need to go to superlegal speeds to get traction and feel the power.

But when I dial it back and allow myself to get used to stock-ish power-weight ratio (well, probably Bullitt level, which is frankly pretty strong, with OA on and -25% at my car's current weight), it makes the full power seem awesome again.

Works for me. I get it if it's not your thing.

As long as it is as satisfying as day 1 at your current power level, good deal. Otherwise, time to upgrade....

I rip the canyons and mountain roads as often as possible. I'm not FI, yet, but even NA can get hairy sometimes as the conditions vary a lot weekend to weekend, especially in the spring. Flight Control sounds like a really handy tool for when conditions are slicker than expected. Have trouble keeping it planted the first couple bends - then trim the torque a bit. Yeah I think I would enjoy that. Have fun with it man!

Like I said to each his own. At the end of the day it is about how you feel about your car. someone else’s opinion doesn’t really matter and opinions are like a$$holes everyone has one. I prefer to push the envelope and at times it costs me. You have your preferences. If we all like the same thing then we would all be driving a Prius in the carpool lane
