Warning-the many can screw things up for the few. A buddy sold his Boss 302 for very serious money via this system to a Toyota dealer--the car was then passed on within the system. He ignore the first offer and let it time expire-after researching and realizing this is real he redid it and the purchase price offered went down. These buys are tied to markets and price sensitive. If every yahoo out there asks for a quote the system is gonna see an abundance of cars and offers will drop. So if your not seriously looking to sell...ummm...don't screw things up for others and stay off the buy site.

And I just bought a 2016 Hellcat Challenger for $2k under msrp. If anyone really wants to move a 350 this way they better strike while the iron is hot. And it probably won't be hot much longer.

There is no chance that a dealer is going to pay $70K for this car used. I would love for it to be true, but it isn't happening.

Well, I just tried one dealer out of the three KBB listed and they didn't want to spend that sort of cash on it. They said something about business taxes too... I didn't really understand what he was trying to say.

I suspect this will the answer if anyone tries to do this when the KBB number is in the $70K range. Looks good on paper, but as more and more of these go thru auction, that price will go down. Again, I would be really surprised if anyone was able to get more than $60K for the GT350 thru that service.

I checked KBB in January after owning mine for a month and it was only $57K. I checked it last night after reading this thread and it went up to $69-72K! But yeah, good luck finding a dealer willing to give you that much.

When you put your VIN in, it tells you to take it to a dealer. When they call KBB, they're actually valuing used cars with anything over a few hundred miles in the mid 50s. Auction values with a few hundred miles are low 60s. The dealer offered me 55k, straight out.

So yeah, the numbers this thread is based on are bogus.

That number was the one I got after I put in the VIN and did all the "sell your car" steps. I'll now be getting emails about it until 2022

Looks like my final negotiations with one of those dealers turned out to be $58k which isn't bad since it's basically MSRP, but wasn't enough to make me take the plunge of letting it go and trading for a tow vehicle and a Boss 302 which I would've then stripped and caged into something like a Boss 302S.

Oh well, this route will be fun as well.

No, it's not. You can drink the Koolaid all you want but a car with thousands of miles, you won't get a dealer to pay much more than high 50s regardless of Tech or Track.

Feel free to show actual paperwork on an actual deal that contradicts this though. Numbers from KBB or Edmunds aren't real world transactions.

Super easy. I received 3 offers of differing amounts and decided to go with the highest one (of course ).

I showed up at the dealership, they looked the car over, and that was it. No haggling, no hustle. Side note - this was the first car they had purchased this way, but I would highly recommend it!

I have also participated in the KBB offer program with my wife's 08' Jeep Grand Cherokee. For this particular vehicle it was much easier than Craigslist, Ebay and similar money exchanging hands.

As Shelby_R says - basically, you get 3 x offers (and sometimes they are quick to call you as well) Highest offer wins - take them the car, they inspect and hand over a check and done deal.
