I just picked my car up from the tint shop. I went 35%, really happy with they way it turned out. Only have this picture for now, it was dark out when I picked it up. It looks really dark in this picture but it doesn't look quite as dark in person.

I did 35% on my DIB GT and it looks darker than what it really is too. Must be the black interior.

Another shot out in a little daylight this morning. Definitely like the way it looks. The tint looks a lot light from the rear 3/4 view because you get light coming through the windshield. Don't have a picture from that angle right now but I'll try to take one later.

Now I just can't wait for spring so I can get my black PP wheels back on there!

I had the same done last Saturday. I hope the authorities let me slide.

I see you're in PA. I'm in PA too and undecided about whether I'll get any grief for 35%. I had 35% on my silver Subaru Legacy for several years and never had an issue, but I think a Mustang might attract more attention, so I'm undecided. Good luck to you! lol

The place I went to only carried 15 & 35%. I saw a picture of 70% & I'll be honest. I've never seen that on anyone's car. It wasn't that expensive so I guess I won't feel too bad if I have to take it off. I drive the speed limit though. :) Especially at night.

I think you've got it backwards. 70% would essentially be unnoticeable, as it would let 70% of light pass through it.

15% is very dark and 5% is like black paint...

Correct. 70% is what's legal in PA. I've never seen anyone with tint that light here. I just found it interesting that the shop didn't stock anything lighter than 35%.

Ah, gotcha... Yeah, he probably doesn't carry it because no one would buy it.

The lightest that my tint shop has is 50%, which he always offers first to try to keep folks within the 35% limit here. He explained that most new cars come with a very light tint, say 90%, so by adding 35%, it winds-up being darker than the legal limit. I actually failed an inspection on my 2011 Mustang because I went ahead and had 35% installed; turned out to be 27% on the tint gauge. Had to take it all of in order to pass re-inspection. Never went back to that asshole again...

I got mine done at the dealer. They have them pre-cut from factory ad the only option was 20% on rear and 35% on passenger and driver window with is the legal limit in FL. I never liked having two shades of tints in my car but it looks fine and it was free. My car is same color as OP. Nice choice :coolphotos: :headbang:
