I just purchased a New Vortech to for my '20 GT. Unfortunately, I live in Cali and am limited to 91 octane as well as the tune that comes with the kit. After watching a few vids, I figure my buddy and I can do this install no problem. He is a welder by trade and does diesel work/ fab on the side. While i am a white collard worker, Im no stranger to getting my hands dirty. Now, for those of you who have done the install, are there any tips or things you would have done differently? Ive come across the "Shrader quick belt change kit". Has any one else done this mod? Any help/ input is appreciated!

I use a bolt for the quick change, I like it. I'd also run a catch can with both sides vented to atmosphere, I wouldn't recirculate anything.

yeah, I went to the shrader website to look at their "kit". Twenty bucks for a bolt and washer that I can get at my local hardware store for a fraction of the price!

Yes do the quick change bolt it works well and yes you can get the Bolt and washers from a hardware store for less then $5.00
Shrader did a solid by putting that kit out there but I think they charge a little to much for it. I think if they did that kit for like $15 I would have just bought it saved a trip to the store.

Hey this is Junior from N4SM, The hose clamps that come with the kit don't hold boost very well. I swapped mine out for some HPS spring loaded clamps. Haven't popped off a hose since.

thank you! I’ve read quite a few threads about this occurring. Is there a kit that supplies all of the necessary clamps or do I have to purchase all individually?
