I’ve been a car guy most of my life (and huge motorcycle guy since the moment I was born). Family and responsibility have forced me to transition from two to four wheels, with age comes a cage… My dad is a Mopar guy and has partially disowned me, but he secretly likes my car. My car, of course, a Ford Mustang. Specifically a 2021 Mustang GT, in Oxford White with the Black Accent Package and a stick shift. I ordered the absolute base, lowest no options possible because a full build has been the plan since day one.

The transition from Mopar to Mustang is the result of the ‘21 being reminiscent (IMO) of the ‘67 fastback, the most beautiful car ever made.

I searched for months and finally ordered one from the factory, months later Jolene was delivered. My first brand new car, my first Ford, my first sports car. I am in love.

I will be keeping the car until I die and giving it to one of my kids. My dad will be doing the same with his ‘68 Charger and ‘69 Barracuda, I am extremely excited and would like to leave something to my kids as well.

All that being said, let’s get to the build journal. Everything except the paint on the hood I did myself. I don’t want anyone touching my wife so why would I be ok with someone touching my car?

The stock front calipers and rotors have been replaced with Brembo calipers and the 15” rotors. Red is the only acceptable caliper color so I purchased the Bullitt kit.

The rear gray doesn’t match the front red so I painted them with them red with the G2 paint kit. It doesn’t match, I hate them, I’m replacing them with the Bullitt calipers so I can sleep at night.

Ford Performance Track shocks, struts and springs. A relatively easy install, not too pricey, perfect fit and man what a difference. I love this setup.

Here are my Project 6GR SEVEN Gloss Black rims. I’ve gone squared setup of 19x10. I will likely change the rears for 19x11 once I put my blower on, but we will see. I love the rims, they’re much bigger than stock and much lighter, and beautiful IMO.

Sparco R333’s up front. I’m lucky enough to have a buddy at Sparco, got them for a steal and love them. They look the part and and comfy to sit. My shoulders are a bit broad for the bolsters up top but that’s a personal problem…

Ford Performance shift knob, I removed the white from “performance” and the numbers, then repainted them red. No idea why it didn’t come this way…

Also while I’m here the Steeda reverse collar. It’s got a Steeda Tri-Ax under there as well, that was a bit of a work to install but much better.

I’ve got a carbon steering wheel as well. It matches as you can see but frankly I don’t like it. It’s slippy. No. It will be replaced with the GT350 wheel, alcantara is right.

Customcargrills.com honeycomb mesh grill. Remove the grill, cut the stock nonsense out, replace it with this mesh. It looks great, I’m super happy with it. This pic is the only one I could get that shows the grill at all… weird angle required for a sweet black on black grill.

Vicrez GT500 replica hood. I don’t want to be a GT500 replica, that’s tacky, I just really like the hood look. That being said, the hood came with recesses for hood pins and plastic picks your supposed to put there. I bought actual hood pins in, they CANNOT work at that angle on a standard GT. They’re tacky and fake and I hate them. I’m going to replace the hood because of it. Lot of money wasted.

Watson Racing rear seat delete. Pairs perfectly with their roll cage, which will likely be my next mod. I love it, it’s beautiful.

Considering removing the passenger seat too… My car. Go away.

My car. Go away.

Probably one of the top three things I have ever heard anyone here say about their car.

Don’t get me wrong. I just appreciate this much more than those who ask what should I do? I want the coolest xyz. Make it yours and be proud of it. Make it the way you like it! I am always at a loss when anyone asks me if I like their car. My response is always, Do You?

Seek advice if you don’t know how something works or how to repair it. Other than that Own It! Who cares what anyone else thinks?

I may take some heat for this, but guess what? Yup, you are right! I don’t care!

See ya all on the road!

I just love the car's name. My Mom's name was Joleen :)
