If this is even an option, I would most certainly speak to them to arrange it. Have you heard of this happening before?
No, but I'm sure that you as an owner can ask that a certain person be able to check on your car from time to time when he is in town.

That would be pretty cool to get updated photos, Jaime although I agree with Tom, there's no reason for that length of time. I'm guessing that Shelby knows people WILL wait and they don't sweat the small stuff.
Here is my thoughts on this. Typically, people are turning GT mustangs into Super Snakes with or without the wide body option. This would take a lot longer to do than what will be done to my car.

What is being done to my car mechanically, I could do in one day, working by myself.

What it being done visually, maybe a day.

The wide body, I think someone who works on one car until it's done should get this done in say a few days to a week, taking their time.

Paint should take a few days to do it right.

Interior should take day.

So, we are talking about a metamorphosis that could be done in two weeks time. I have no idea why it takes so long to be honest.

I have been there for special events a few times when they let us wonder around the shop to see cars in various state of mod. But they always told us “No Pictures!” as they didn’t want an owner calling them and complaining about “their car” being on display. But with the right contacts, might be able to make it happen.

Keep me posted when/if you are out there, and i will see if we can make a visit happen :like:

So maybe if I ask for my friend to visit, and take me pictures, they will be ok with it........ I guess we shall see.

They were always sensitive about taking pictures in the shop. Probably have several good reasons for that. But it doesn’t hurt to ask.

Ok, I have been going back & forth with my contact at Shelby American, asking questions & nailing down a decision on the car. Here is what I have decided to do.

Signature Edition Package
Wide Body Package
Painted (Oxford White) OTT & Side Stripes
"First 15" Delivery package
Enclosed transport to & from Shelby
Carbon Fiber Triple Gauge Pod with Carbon Fiber Carroll Shelby Signature Edition Gauges
Brushed Aluminum Wheels

I am 99% sure I want the brushed aluminum, as I think it looks mint on my color car. This is the computer image, as none exist yet. The words "Shelby", "American", & "Forged" will be in the wheel, per usual.

Oh boy Jaime, is that ever exciting! OMG...SO many cool additions..the killer gauges, the gorgeous seats, etc., etc.!

"First 15" WAY cool!

And I agree, the BA wheels will look spectacular on FPB.

<--Similar to these 107s. :-)

This is your car do what you want. This is coming from a guy who has EVERY car he owns on bright silver 5 spoke wheels. And on my GT500 i went black, against my initial judgement, because i think silver/brushed dated the car. The widebody, being a TRUE shelby car, you can probably get away with any wheel and it will look great. I personally would have someone photoshop or render it, it has helped me on many projects to vizualize it before deciding.

Not sure if it's just the "old man" in us that thinks this, but I agree.

I can't unsee them though.

I was like you, but the last 3 cars I owned had black wheels. The Signature wheels I have now have a polished lip, and they look spectacular. Now that I have had the polished & black wheels, I don't know if I can go back to completely black wheels again.

You hit the nail on the head, the wide body can pull off a bright wheel.

Yes when i say black, what i really mean is black centers with polished lip....exactly like yours just in traditional 5 spoke. i am dead set against ALL black. So if the choice is all black or all brushed ....hmmm thats a tuff call......i would just use the wheels you have :).......hows that for helping you

Trust me, the thought has crossed my mind. This is why I have not tried selling them yet. I would have to get all.new rears to fit the wide body, so I haven't decided yet. That and I kinda want to run Shelby wheels on it.

I actually think getting new rear wheels to fit wide body like the ones you have would be my choice.
