I was going to purchase a UPR catch can since I am adding a whipple supercharger but then noticed the J&L. UPR seems to be a lot more but has the clean side as part of it.

is one better then the other? Seems UPR has options were you can upgrade certain items.

No contest.. UPR all day long. It's a perfectly designed oil separator.

UPR for sure!!! I have it on my whipple car and it even looks factory. Very high quality. Works good and love the mounting

Hey Justin, Between these two, the UPR would be your best bet. The J&L is a great can, don't get me wrong. If you have any questions, just let me know, I can get you either one of these!

Let me know if I can help out with a J&L or UPR catch can. Both are great options. On the Coyote platform the dirty side is the passenger side. UPR is nice as you also get their clean side separator so not only does it clean the dirty side you get the extra benefit of keeping the entire system clean.

Hit me up and I can get you hooked up!

Hey Justin,

Like Shane was hitting toward, UPR is an amazing system. I've used them on a couple of my personal cars and nothing but positive feedback from me! J&L is also great, but I would say comes down to brand preference! Feel free to reach out to Tom@Lethal if you have any other questions!

So which did you choose?

As I have the same dilemma, 2019 GT with the new whipple 3.0 and want to add one as well as the bullet oil pump gear and sprocket. That’s another question MMR vs Boundary?

I went UPR mainly because it looks cleaner. The UPR hoses look much nicer.

Went with the boundary for the crank sprocket and oil pump gears. After reading and reading I found less complaints with boundary. With MMR I was reading about issues of noise which was rare but that got me to chose the boundary.

I purchased the gears from lethal performance and the UPR direct for UPR.

I’ve ran a UPR setup up on my ‘17 w/Whipple and now on my’20 GT500 and i love the setup. The can sits behind the passenger side headlight and is on the larger side which is great. Also, like you stated, It also has the clean side to it which to mean completed the kit. The UPR setup keeps the engine bay looking clean and stock IMO. #TeamLethal

Just FYI... Bought a J&L for a 21 Mach1 whipple car. The area where they want you to mount the catch can was used by a relay for the whipple and right over a big wiring harness, so It would not fit. Sent it back and going with either the ford performance seperator or the UPR.

Looks like you are right, there is a relay there next to the coolant spout.
