SS550 Ford Mustang GT on my drive. I can't stop looking at it, it's not a Porsche GT3 twin turbo (no idea if that exists), it's got presence, it's got style, it's got 'haunches', it's just got it!

It's not the fastest car on the planet, it's not the most technological car on the planet, but it's the most beautiful car on the planet, in my eyes.

I don't need a PDK gearbox, I don't need a hybrid diesel/electric motor, I don't need the most up to date alchemy that makes metal fizz.

I've got a Mustang, full stop!

It makes young and old just about combust when they clap eyes on it, it makes car enthusiasts drool with want, it makes workmates want one, it makes me happy!

It's not perfect, it's not Star Trek, it's honest metal, that makes me smile.

It enthuses my good lady, gives me immense pleasure, makes me feel special and is what I've been searching for, for years.

I want to show it off, I want to show all what it can do, it's the thing that makes my 50-60-70 hour week all worth while.

This is a keeper, one for the future, one that will stack up against anything that all comers can throw at it, it's mine, and it's on my drive, there are many like it, but in my hands, it's a looker that kills, the most beautiful piece of car art that you could wish for.

The end!

It's a car you love for its imperfections, it's beauty and rawness. The street presence it has is immense. Everyone knows a mustang. Everyone has a story about one. Everyone I meet speaks about them, everyone I talk to has dreamt of owning one etc.

P.s; someone take his computer off him when he's drunk, thought we removed drunken love speach when Tapatalk died....

I agree with your statement!!! I have one the same, I was one of the lucky ones in New Zealand, and I have had mine since Christmas. When I received this car it had being on order for over 2 years.
Enjoy!!!!

Cheers

You sound like you're undecided on whether you like it or not? .....

Yep, it's the imperfections that add to how bloody great the car is. Like all the great supercars of the 70's - the Miura, Daytona, Countach, 512BB - it's the idiosyncrasies that make it so memorable. It's why vinyl is making such a big comeback at the moment and why the original Matrix needed to be modified ;)

I know exactly what you mean; I deliberatley haven't finished cleaning out the garage so I still keep mine on the drive so I see it every morning when I open the bedroom curtains. I have had mine for 4 months, and I notice it still gets a lot of attention from pedestrians and other drivers!

A couple of weeks back I was in the main car park of the Sunderland AFC Stadium of Light, waiting to leave after the crowds had dispersed..... a "crocodile" of young boys (aged around 9 to 11 I guess) were being "escorted" out of the stadium to their coach home, and they all stopped and gazed at my mustang - and loved the "thumbs up" I gave them....

Now if only it had the same effect on 19 to 21 year old girls....! Then again, my wife would kill me so probably just as well.

The extra "S" in "SS550" was the giveaway  nonetheless a great post. The biggest surprise for me about the whole Mustang experience was meeting so many like minded people with such a crazy passion for these beautiful machines :ford:

George - That's a funny looking Mustang on your avatar ;)

That's my team, I parked in the main car park at the main entrance at Christmas whilst taking the kids to the Christmas party. Came out to a mob of people taking pics, they thought it was a players car. Imagine their disappointment when I got in, haha
