Just noticed something pretty cool from this video [ame]

All the interior accent lighting on the pedals and door handles. Nice little touches to a much improved interior.

That's been included (slightly differently, of course, due to interior changes) since the S197.

Oh......haven't had a mustang since 05 so it's exciting to me at least.

It's lost its luster for me a little, but it is a pretty cool feature. Especially since you can change the color to what you want.

I can tell you, coming from a 94 GT, I am pumped as hell about the customizable interior lighting! Also looking forward to that exterior pony projection lol.

Well, in that case, I hope you guys both get Premiums so you can get the pony-projector side mirrors. I get comments on those all the time!

Does the pony projection change colors too?

Nah, but they can be replaced with other colors/projection images I believe.

Woah. I had no idea it would come with all that. Compared to my 2007 this thing is a freaking spaceship. I'm especially fond of the Pony projection lights, how cool! Is it October yet? I need the keys (do I call it that any more? How about "launch control fob"?) to my car!

Not to be off-topic, but the '94 GT interior was quite nice for its time though. Eons better than the horrid Camaro interior of the times. Imagine if you saw this SN-95 interior back in February 1990 (let alone the S550) and compared it to what was actually available back then.

1990 Mustang SN-95 prototypes (1st pic) & 1990 Mustang interior

They've done really great for the S550 and all of us should just dismiss any silly complaints about "plasticky" surfaces and "cheap" materials. (Not to you Wild Stang, but detractors)

I can see myself sitting in my driveway at night, engine running, just taking it all in. The interior lighting, colors, and cockpit look are quite something. Can't wait.

Well I wasn't even aware of a projected pony.....wow, totally useless but cool as hell. Holy crap I can't wait for this car.

:) - Glad I could re-stoke the fire a bit for some people. It's not totally useless either, every car has exterior lighting so you can see to get in (fumbling with keys, etc.). The looks on peoples faces when I unlock my car at night are priceless if they haven't seen it before.

As the post title says; "It's little touches". They really do make the Mustang special and different/better than the competitors. The comments/compliments I've gotten on my 2013 are extraordinary. It's a magnet for attention everywhere I go.

I actually had no idea about the pony projection until I read this post. I also didn't know you could change the color of the accent lighting until I watched a video also showing the pony projection.

I thought my Jetta was cool because I could change the back-lighting of the stereo from red to blue. My how things have changed.

I still can't believe how awful interior design was back then. Domestic OEMs have only just started catching up in the past five years or so.
