Its not working

Can someone help me understand why I am not showing up in Cotus? I guess I don't need to cause I'm getting updates from Jeff at Ford and my dealer but when I go to cotus it shows nothing on my vin#.

So you already have your Vin? Are you searching the site based on just your vin, if so have you tried by your order number? I know based on some users feedback on this forum it took a few weeks for them to appear on the site. The site can be fickle from time to time, sometimes my order shows, sometimes it disappears altogether.

Yes I received my vin# on 4/17 and have an ETA of week of 5/11 but just thought it would be nice to track it from here on and was disappointed nothing is showing up. Thank you for responding emerald princess.

sometimes cotus is a little wacky

put vin in and if it fails out go back and do it again... sometimes I've had to do it 4-5 times in a row

I just got frustrated after various ways of trying to access the site. went back 5 mins later and it went through right away.

Thank you! I have never tried it more than once cause I get frustrated and try again the next day but by the sounds of it I guess I need to not give up so easily.

Try both Web sites too. I notice at time wwwqa will work and www won't and vice versa. There are days when it's comes up no problem and I have had gone over a week when it won't show at all

I contacted Jeff from Ford today and find out it was a simple fix. When I received my Vin# it showed up as a B and it was actually an 8 so now its all good.

Also don't be surprised if you get a message saying "No matching vehicle found. Please verify your input and try again.". Your data may not appear right away. Sometimes it won't show up at all no matter how many times you try, just come back later.

1. Enter VIN.
2. Click the "Track Verhicle" button.
3. Get the above message.
4. Keep pressing the "Track Vehicle" Button.

I created a hot key with my VIN, so I can paste it in on the fly

Also, you can use wwwqa.cotus.ford.com. It appears that the site has some kind of goofy rate limiter in place and I'll flip between the different front ends.

There is also www.cotusb.ford.com
