Huh? My post was entirely sarcastic. Never used it. Was joking based on claimed hp/tq gains and inserted a Spaceballs reference.
Didn't realize lol but many tuners will crank up throttle vs pedal to make the car feel faster when in reality all you are doing is removing half the pedal travel.

Stick with Lund or a trusted tuner on here. Lots of hog wash claims out there.

I guess what I want to know is, HOW do they get those numbers? Are they making a tune that gets the horsepower and torque numbers at totally unrealistic RPM points, and hoses you on the actual useful ranges?

Throttle opening vs acceleration vs throttle response give different types of feel to a car. It is important to know and be able to feel which is which. Especially when it comes to getting a custom tune. I have allowed myself to be the guinea pig on several different occasions and it has all worked out well for me. Right now I get custom tunes for free. But, I always work close with the tuners and I never accept a free tune from someone unless my one trusted and reputable source can vouch for them. And when I get a new tune or a revised tune I always go over the data myself and I am very cautious until I am 100% sure it is safe. And I've honestly never had an issue, lol!! But I don't recommend anyone else ever do the things I do because I wouldn't want responsibility with someone else's engine failure. I myself don't go forward with anything until I am 100% sure but I wouldn't ask others to trust me since, as they say, "trust is good, none is better". So I'll say stick with the tried and true tuners and tuning systems. SCT, N-Gauge, and a few others are very well trusted. And there are several custom tuners out there that are very well trusted. It might cost a bit more than you would like to pay, but it is better to pay a few hundred bucks for a tune than over ten thousand bucks for a new engine, lol!!
