So I might as well ask here in case anyone is just reading posts to answer non car related questions.

I see where guys put an "@" symbol in front of someone's user name. Does this notify the user they are requested in a thread? Sounds like this is true. If so do you just type it or is there a button somewhere to format it to do that? Sorry probably a silly question.

Hi Bartly . Use the "Go Advanced" button, you will see a round blue icon all the way to the right. Put the user name in exactly as it is written.

You can just type the "@" symbol and the username. It will automatically link it to the user's profile if you spelled it correctly. The mention icon (the round blue one) in the Advanced editor is not necessary.

Once a user has been mentioned it will show up in their notifications. Pop-ups have been disabled for mentions but you can find it in "New Mentions" under the notifications pulldown.
