I think they will fit in the engine fuse compartment it's just these ones in the foot well are fairly new and hard to come by in the UK. When i blew mine I thought eh no biggie I'll get another from halfords, turns out they'd never seen them before :frusty:

Yeah the ones from the ebay link look more like for the engine bay, the footwell fuses are super tiny (Footwell fuse is for all the interior gimmicks).

I showed a few people the pictures whom I know do enginering and such, and they'd never seen a fuse that small either @Shanarf gues it'll teach us for being over zealous when changing boot LEDs...

Now, does anyone know where to get the vanity mirror lights from? (LED)

Heh heh yeah. I gave in and decided to get a diode dynamics set. The set from France was supposed to fit the vanity lights, but I was so annoyed with myself with blowing the fuse I didn't bother trying. They looked like a very tight fit though. Did you try putting them in there?

They categorically do not fit what-so-ever into that vanity mirror slot. Tight fit or not. They're way too big! Even if you could cut it down, it'd do nothing for the bulb, because, the connectors are on the edges :( They're too wide not too long (although probably too long as well!)

Those are the lights I used for vanity mirrors. Got them in the full interior set and they sent me 2 spare when 2 were DoA.

Cheap as anything really and an easy fit with the mirror module taken out as above. DO NOT try and follow the fitting guide and just pop them out. Make your life easier and remove the 2 screws and take out the mirror.

Anyone who wants the full kit (Map, Boot, Glovebox, Vanity) http://www.diodedynamics.com/store/catalog/product/view/id/22184/

Remember that Glovebox, Boot, Map and Front Sidelights are all the same bulb.

My replacements took 5 days to arrive including them processing an RMA. I think the original kit was under a week from order too and I ordered on a weekend.

Just order it and get it done right. I haven't found any in the UK for a couple of quid each. Better still order a bulk load and sell them to other people. You can become the UK seller!

And yes I had 1 mirror with LED and 1 with Halogen for 5 days. Just leave them folded up lol

It's easier to pull the fuse (you'll end up opening the fuse box one way or another anyway!)

DD kit was good. You pays yer money......................

The same sort of fuse is used in the Mondeo so I don't understand why they are so hard to get generally. Should be available for the dealer, although I haven't tried as I'd already ordered a load from the States before I checked the Mondeo.

My local ford dealer didn't carry them in stock, and had to order in......

I even saw an AA van and asked the driver if he carried them.....:) the answer was "he'd never seen that type before"
