I was driving the rain the other day and turned on my headlights. The gauges and nav panel were full brightness.

suddenly everything dimmed and I thought I was losing power or something.

It just became more overcast and night mode kicked in. LOL

So there are three lighting modes on these cars. Daytime, daytime headlights on(doesn't change interior lighting levels), night mode. Now I can't speak for 2015 guys, in sync 3 there is an interior dim setting, turn that on. When you adjust interior ligh levels by the headlight switch they should now stay at that level whenever night mode is triggered. I rock some pretty dark interior lighting, and have never been blinded. Hope that helps
