I’ve done many upgrades to my Mustang in the 4 years. I’ve had it. Its a base model. FBO,tuned and susp upgraded , Hellhorse Performance 8 inch touch sync3 conversion upgrade “ I had calculator screen “and the bullit edition digital cluster 180 mph speedo it has from S550 customs S650 RGB sequential rear taillights and Form sequential headlights,, inside I have a Sundown Salt4K amp pushing 1 12”Sundown ZV.6 up to this point zero issues,, now -> a little over a year ago I installed sequential front turn signals they work perfect as it should sequentials work in unison with my form headlights, my fog lights are built into the parking light so when I turn my fog lights on, I get heavy static in my FM radio only when I turn fog lights on via switch beside headlight switch, when I turn off fog lights crystal clear FM signal ,, honestly for the longest I just simply stopped running my fog lights to stop it because let’s be honest. they suck anyway, this past weekend I added a new D4S DSP in my car and now it is extremely bad to the point where it sounds like. I’m on a random AM radio station trying to jam out and just like with the fog lights when I turn the DSP off crystal clear, I really want to believe that I am not the first and only person to have this issue. I’m not getting rid of the DSP or the lights so that means that sacrifices will be made if I do not find and fix the issue , if any of you guys know something I can go buy that would be great,, for the record I am mechanically inclined im a Maintenance Tech @ Dana Spicer “driveline div” I have done every modification to my car myself except for Forescan,Dyno and tune of course, any helps appreciate and thanks in advance guys.

Nice setup

I actually had this same exact issue after I installed my opt7 sequential turn signals. The issue was introduced when the DRLs were on but it wasn't much but as soon as I turned on the fog lights, it was as if I was in a tornado.

I ended up troubleshooting my radio, DSP, speakers, and amplifiers with nothing that worked.

I started with using ferritin rings which helped but it wasn't 100%.

I then added an additional ground wire for the lights because on my car it shares the same ground wire. This actually seemed to eliminate it about 80% and it was only noticeable when the radio was on with no music playing on that station.

Try these things to see if it works for you. If it doesn't another thing that you can do is put an inline noise filter on your radio's power supply. This may be helpful since your head unit is an aftermarket radio.

Well, when I received it,”the sync3 8” HU” I actually got it from Ford. All the accessories was in Ford itemized packages. HH performance flashed it ready to go all plug n play oem but you said you had the exact same issue. I will definitely try this today. Thanks for the info man

Ok when you said you added an additional ground wire did you run it from the factory ground position the lights are on to another area or just in general from battery to any given point on core support?
