Insurance is through the roof!

My cost is an additional $960 every six months.

My '14 GT500 (662 HP, 631 lb/ft torque) was a little less than $500 every 6 months. This was as a secondary "pleasure car", insurance was through Farm Bureau in Florida.

I would be looking at quotes from other insurance carriers.

So I had planned to switch to State Farm because USAA's last quote was $1270 for 6 months. However, I called USAA again after I took delivery of my GT350 and they quoted $558 for 6 months. I do have a couple other vehicles on the policy and I'm the only driver, so I might get a little bit of a break on rates for that reason.

I wanted to post this so those of you who have been using USAA would consider giving them another shot. I think they were quoting the "R" rate the first time? Maybe they had an error in their system.
