Installing the Recovery Hook

Tried to access the recovery hook receiver by following the procedure below to remove the access cover, but even with considerably more pressure than “gently pressing”, the left side isn’t popping out. Anyone have any tips?

Just to be clear when I tried mine, from what I can remember from 4 months ago, the left side refers to the drivers side, dont know if that helps.

Yes, that does help! You need to press on the passenger side of the cover until the drivers side pops up and then pull out. Thanks!
