After I installed my Kicker 2400watt Class D Amp with Two 10" Dual voice coil woofers, I wanted to ensure the 4AWG

power supply from the battery was totally removed once the car was turned off, so I installed a 500 amp SPST NO relay which only draws .54 amps when energized. I also supplied a separate power supply to the amp power on input. I connected the wire to my 20amp heated steering wheel fuse.

While I can appreciate the level of effort, that little exercise wasn't necessary and will very likely cause additional problems.

You're essentially going to insta-charge the capacitors in your amplifier every time you start your car, which will not only shorten the lifespan of the amp, but also damage the contacts in the relay over time.

Side note, a proper 500A relay with a 12VDC coil will take much more than 0.5A. Not that it really matters a whole lot here.

I don't think I'd have connected the amps main power + to the heated steering wheel circuit.

My New steering wheel I had made didnt come with a Heated option and for this car it was not an issue for I park it from November to April each year, so the heated power supply is not used. PLUS: As I shown in the picture, I tested the Relay Current draw and it was .54 Amps, very low, and the fuse installed for the Steering Wheel Heat #37 slot was a 20AMP. Not an issue. The Power ON-OFF 12VDC Signal wire to the Amp Current is negligible.

Hi. First, I copied a picture of my Test showing the NVX Low Current Draw Relay, with only a .054 Amps draw.
**You are NOT Correct. Installing this SPST, N/O, Low Current draw closed, Continuous Hold Closed Relay Will be perfectly fine and will not cause any premature system component failure issues. This will however prevent any possible battery drainage issue coming from my Amplifier system.
For me, I have worked over 40 years in Electrical and Integrated Aviation Systems and am quite aware of what I am doing.
PLUS: As always, I did verify with Kicker Technical Representatives as well as Crutchfield Technical Representatives, which they all said this would NOT cause any issue with their components, BUT they did say this type of lock out relay is commonly used in HIGH End Systems.
