Who charges $20 to look over a datalog? I know mpt charges $20 for tune updates but that's not for minor adjustments or changes. Plus if you take a look at the some of the fastest s197 3.7s, they're tuned by mpt. Best tuner for the 3.7 hands down. I have to say unleashed is also a good tuner but the torque and drivability throughout the rpm range is better with mpt. Words right out of my good friends mouth.Yes it is worth it to get it right. Just because a tune "feels" right does not make it 100% right nor does that translate into a better 1/4 mile or trap. I prefer a datalogged tune over a canned 1 size fits all tune. Any good tuner should at least do free lifetime naturally aspirated updates and not charge you 20 bucks just to look over it and say "nothing is wrong". Also keep in mind most "research" is subjective vs objective and revolves around 1-few person(s) experience which is not an accurate comparison. As far as 1/4 mile times + traps I'm not seeing anything MPT puts out as being "superior" to anything from Unleashed, Bama, Etc. just mostly pure opinion and hearsay. For example, I don't care about BAMA myself (and probably won't be using their tune) but there was still an S197 3.7 that ran healthy 13 flats on tune only with a BAMA tune + econo street tires so they must work decently when dialed in. Tuning = datalogging and re-datalogging. No two vehicles are the same. Repeating "They know their 3.7s" doesn't cut it.
