I'm looking to get a set of wheels and tires for most of the year (I'll run the stockers and A/S 3+ I have on now when weather is cold). Looking for inputs primarily on wheel width. What I am planning on (and thanks, Terrance, for the input thus far):

  • Signature SV104 (good looking, light)
  • 19" Diameter (prefer the lighter weight/lower rotational inertia to larger diameter for cosmetics)
  • Probably the new Galaxy Graphite color

What I am deciding on is width. Options are:

  • 11.5" square, non-rotatable with 315s
  • 11.0" square, rotatable with 25mm spacer up front on 305s
  • 11.0" square, non-rotatable on 305s
  • R-spec 11.0" front, 11.5" rear on 305/315

Some factors - I will likely lower the car on FP/BMR springs, these will be primarily for street with a few track days a year (more if I can find time), and I don't want poke or to have to significantly adjust suspension, alignment, or anything away from "ideal" to get the wheels/tires to fit without rubbing. I will probably run PS4S tires. If I do enough track days I'm willing to swap tires out (and I still have my stock SC2s to burn up), and if REALLY enough track days, perhaps I'll shift to dedicated wheels.

I'm open to input on these. For instance, does a square setup (vs R-spec) help with turn-in and handling balance? Any reason that 11.5" square on 315s is "too much" in some way? How much benefit would being rotatable provide to counter giving up some width?

Thanks for any/all feedback.

I'm running Signature SV501's in 11.0" square, rotatable with 25mm spacer up front on 305s and have no issues.

Anybody running 11.5"/315s all around?

Chip, I have exactly the setup you're looking to do. 4x SV104 in 19x11.5 with the 315/30 R rear cup2 all around, and I have FP springs up front, BMR out back.

Happy to answer any questions as well as go over everything I went through already in determining size, offset, rotatable vs non rotatable, etc.

Fantastic! How are you liking the setup? Have you tracked it? Any rubbing issues? Would you change anything if you could? I'd love to hear anything you're willing to share about how you made that choice and how you like it now. if you have some photos, all the better!

Zero rubbing on the street, but these wheels' first track session will be in the coming weeks. Highly doubt there will be any rubbing. But I think your biggest decisions are on that poke and if you want to go all 4 corner rotatable or not. I elected to go with separate offsets as I just didn't feel like adding studs or hubs to all the work I was already doing to the car, but ultimately getting spacers and putting on R spec hubs or replacing the front studs so all 4 wheels are identical would be the cherry on top.

As far as poke, camber, and offsets go, there is a lot to consider there and would be best in a DM or on the phone.

Appreciate the feedback. I'll DM you for more.
