I am putting together my fuel system now and trying to decide if I need to upgrade injectors for my goals.

A brief history, the car is a KB 3.2 with long tubes, no cats, 5 speed. It has never been on the dyno however I am assuming it made close to 800rwhp since I ran 10.2@140 on E50 mix, 15psi boost on FIC1000 injectors and BAP. Since then I replaced the long block with an 11:1 Aluminator and I am putting in a Fore Fuel system, twin 465's, #10 feed, #8 return, rails etc.

I plan to run around 15-17psi and straight E85. I would guess the car will make close to 900 whp and don't plan to go much more than that. So the question is are the 1000cc injectors enough or do I need to step up to ID1300?

Thanks in advance

I would go with 1300’s but I have seen 1000’s at the 900whp mark on 2 cars running e85.

I would go 1300 as well, give you more room to grow.

My ID1000s are maxed out. I'll probably upgrade to ID1300s soon and put in a triple pump instead of my dual pump.

Pricey though.

Cutting it close, better off selling the 1000 cc and grabbing 1300s. It's a pricey adjustment, so if you're wanting to wait, have your tuner check trims/cycle and see what it is looking like.

I think I'm just going to bite the bullet and upgrade to the 1300's now rather than pull it apart again. Thanks guys for the help.

Best of luck. Let any of us know here at Lethal if we can get you a set of ID1300 sent out.

Reading this and curious what the going rate is for a set of the used ID1000s...
I bought a set of used injectors once....

My #1 piston didn't like that idea very much. :(

It was my fault for not having them flow checked and cleaned before installing them. Everything looked fine... Turned out that one of them had debris from shipping stuck inside it. :(

Ya, it was one of those "Man, I should have checked" moments. :(

Had the ole GF in the car, gave it the beans...
Thinking I was going to impress her...

Ended up on the side of the road having a romantic conversation...
While waiting for a tow truck.... lol.

NOTE: romantic conversation = her telling me "its ok, Im sure its not that bad"
and me saying "no, it really is" LOL
