Have a set of new 58# injectors. The length I noticed is a bit shorter than the regular GT injector. These come with the Whipple kit and I believe are the standard GT500 injector. Will these work in the 15/16 GT? If the longer ones are required, why? What if you are using a different intake like CJ or Boss? Thanks.

You'll need 16 spacer to make the 13-14 GT500 injectors the same height as the factory ones. You can use them but they will require a retune.

OK...my question is why. What interferes with the shorter injector? The base of it is the same length. It appears the mid section is where the height difference occurs. I will be running these on a boosted non-stock intake application (Edelbrock or Boss intake). Was wondering where the issue is with them? Also you noted 16 - so they have to be double stacked?
Thanks for the info!

Why? Because the stock injectors are taller and the manifold and rail setup are designed to fit the taller injector. If you put a shorter injector in the injector won't be tall enough to reach the rail. Therefore spacers are needed for the shorter injector to meet the proper height of the fuel rails and manifold design.

With the spacers you'll stack one on the bottom and one on the top. Injector Dynamics does this for most of their injectors that fit our cars as the Bosch injectors they use are a shorter design than factory injectors.

Hope that helps.
