How is the software accounting for vvt? They push the intake cam way back up top, like to a 135 centerline. Maybe that’s the only reason coyotes make power up top in spite of such long runners.

How is the software accounting for vvt?
I can step it or ramp it in. I run 89 Intake centerline to 4000 then ramp it to 130 which is the max allowed.

-20 ramping to +20

The exhaust is happiest at 108 or 15 It does show slight gains moving it around, <5 HP. I might play with it on the drag strip

The CJ manifold works well in the model it aligns with some actual dyno curves I found floating around.

What did you mean by 108 or 15?

Tuning books seem to recommend running exhaust at +15 and Roush does as well on the phase 2. +15 is akin to 105 ecl I think. Those who have dynod different exhaust cam timings report little to no change when moving it around. I’ve done some playing myself on street bikes and ecl only seemed to affect over-rev.

I used comp cams spec for the stock 2 gen cam +15 on the exhaust equals 108 CL

Hey @K4fxd, forgot about it yesterday but remembered tonight. Edelbrock Victor runners are 10.75” in length for the roof of the port and 9.5” in length for the port floor. It’s really a decent manifold base I think but, at least in my very unprofessional opinion, the plenum roof is too close to the top of the port entry and the entry isn’t enough of a Venturi. And once it came out at its high price tag Ford dropped the 18 which basically shares the same powerband, isn’t going to heat soak like aluminum and doesn’t have height clearance issues all for a much lower price
