I have a 17 Gt with only 10850 miles. I understand that leather stretches and flexes especially with the heated portion of it. My question is have anyone had this kind of issue, mostly on the side of the hip? When my wife sits in it, she makes sure nothing is in her pockets. Dealer is telling me it looks like something pushed up against it and made this. Considering taking to a few different dealers. Would like your input. Ty.

Are you talking about the flat part or what looks like a knick/white spot right next to the stitching?

No, I know about that when I bought it. Where the leather looks like its folding?

So you mean the red box area? Had something else typed out before you replied. Something would have to sit up against that continuously to produce that type of a crease unless it came like that and you never noticed it. Do you park somewhere (it is Florida) where the sun comes through directly on that spot that could possibly be warping it? It looks like either something sits against that area (something with a sharp corner) or pressure is constantly being put on the outside of it causing it to fold over a bit.

These things aren't the highest of quality in terms of pseudo-leather. It's a 17 so I don't see how it could have dried out already but I don't think you can fix it. Not an expert but the only thing I think might work would be to apply excess leather conditioner and some heat over the area, like fold over a microfiber a few times and rub over it with an iron.

The one in red box. What's weird is it seems to show up worse when heated seat is on. Wonder if it's something in the elements. Thank you for your response.

The heating element is only in both lower and upper perforated sections of the front seats - not the side bolsters. So heat can’t affect that area of the upholstery - unless it is something occurring with sunlight.

Did you buy the car new or used? Your comment that you already knew of the small tear in the upholstery on the same bolster has me curious...

I bought it used at a Ford dealership. They sold it as a certified preowned.
