My EDD is about two weeks out so I've been hitting the rebate links in hopes of scoring one. So far, no dice. I've gotten nothing from Ford via email and I did get a small brochure but it was promoting the Mustang, not offering me any bucks to buy a new Ford.

Can anyone offer any tips? Shy of spamming the email request, I'm willing to jump through a few digital hoops if it can save me a few hundred bucks on my purchase, why not?

Thanks for any and all input,
-SeventhWard
If COTUS shows that you Vehicle is in transit and due to arrive within 2 weeks of your Rebates expiration, see if your Dealer can contact Program Incentive Headquarters in your behalf and "Grandfather" your Rebate in. If not, simple have your Dealer write up your Purchase & Sales Agreement showing the "delivery" date on the last day of your promotion. Sure you will loose perhaps 2 weeks of your 36 month Warranty but if your can save $750, I`d say, its a small sacrifice.

I just got a call from my salesman and Ford gave me $1500 in incentives! $500 switch, $750 EAA certificate and an additional $250. I am getting a check for the$250 from the dealership! That's going toward the Clutch spring, transmission support bushing, and catch can I'm getting installed on 3/9 at Steeda.

PonyGrrrl,
So what was the $250 for ? Did it have a name? Can others get it? First I have heard of any rebate on top of $500 + $750.

Good for you!

Just curious;
Whats the extra $250 for? Program Incentive or Dealership correction in Financing tabulation error?

No one knows what the extra $250 is for and they don't want to question Ford, I don't either. There wasn't a name just a total incentives. I'm pretty stoked, this pays for the parts that I'm buying from Steeda. It's only costing me for installation which isn't bad.

No financial error, I went over every number before signing.

My salesman had no idea why Ford calculated my incentives as $1500, we only knew about the $500 & $750. I used X Plan and the $750 EAA certificate, $500 was the switch incentive and Ford came back with $1500 total and the dealership has to give me the difference as per X Plan rules. He can't figure out how Ford calculated $1500 but no one is questioning Ford.

PonyGrrrl,
I fully understand the 'don't ask don't tell' policy towards the mystery $250 discount. Just a quiet thank you to the car buying Gods! ;)

The EAA incentive was protected if you had submitted your order before 01/05/2015. If your order was made after that, I don't believe that the Incentive is valid. And EAA does not generate a 2015 Incentive Certificate.

I'm wondering if this is a rebate to offset the price increase that occurred after the car was ordered?

I didn't pay the increase, my price was locked in at the time I placed my order. I actually checked the price when I took delivery to be sure I wasn't paying the increase. Maybe there was a mistake in the X Plan price when I ordered but it was the same as what I saw when I built and priced using x plan, so I don't know. My salesman said Ford had listed $1500 in incentives. Either way I'm happy.

If a Vehicle is a Retail Special Order and its submitted as an X-Plan purchase, there is an automatic Price Lock in place as of the day the Order was submitted. Regardless of future price increases in either the Vehicle itself or some of its Options, the Price is locked per the day of the Order. In the unlikely event of a Price (reduction) other then an Incentive or Cash Back Rebate, you would obviously get the (new) lower Price.

I have a quick question. Is it possible to still talk the salesman down to a lower price than msrp if I'm also going to be using xplan?

very unlikely. The x-plan is supposed to be a no-haggle sort of deal. You might be able to haggle add-ons like tinting, warranties, etc. But not the price of the vehicle itself.
