Oh how I wish I could get some silver wheels. I really like the optional PP1 wheels in silver.

I'll have to start hunting around for a clean set to buy.
powder coat the ones you have. pick whatever silver you want.

I did look into that a few years ago. At the time, it was less expensive to just get new wheels.

Plus, I'd be without wheels for days. That's a problem as my car is my DD.

I have a iconic silver 550 that I am thinking of putting ferrada fr3ā€™s in silver on. Does anyone have the silver on silver to share or thoughts on it. I have come across a silver 550 on rohana rc10s that looks good. Iā€™ve done a lot of looking through threads and it seems a rare set up.
Pictured are

2. Package Iā€™m interested in, would like larger tires (maybe 285/265) but canā€™t figure out if theyā€™d work and what effects on poke etc theyā€™d have. Factory size is 275/255 but the 28 offset changes things ?
3. Wheels shown in silver and black

I have polished ccws on my silver 2003 cobra and I think they look killer. Polished or silver looks great on a silver car IMO. I'd rock them.

I currently have factory PP2 wheels with Sport Cup 2's on 2020 Race Red.... these become track set. But I'll get lighter wheels likely in argent but it's wheel weight not color I care about.

I have a set of Ford Performance wheels identical to the above but they're matte black and I put PS4S tires for street.

I like these sets.... I'm ok with them.

I'm 68 years old have many cars mostly old and classic rides and with every ride I have a sport several different wheels and shoes on them. Yes, that means I've got many racks just like clothes in a closet and change from time to time keeps me real happy.

Wheels should be functional. I prefer they be "period correct" to the ride. Right now trend is black (so we are told) but look.... these damn corners on these cars are expensive! And trends change over time lets face it.

I have never paid much value in what's trendy. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I say put whatever is functional for your ride and whatever the color is.... as Billy Crystal says..... "You look marvelous!"

Looks are subjective, as proven by the for/against black/silver opinions in this very thread.

Buy what YOU like. Take your time since it is such a $$$ purchase and does make up a huge portion of the car's looks. I went through this. Trying to find a wheel that was rare and would make me smile every time I looked at the car. Went round in circles. IE: not made in 19", in 19" but not 11", perfect size but NOT paying $2k a wheel, and no personal color choice. Maybe try 20"...nope, more money x2 because 20" tires are more expensive and the ride is generally harsher. Back to 19" and went with 6gr 7 spokes in matte graphite (*almost got black onesšŸ˜±). Popular, yes, but I have as of yet to see an Ingot Silver in my area with them.

Do it. Those wheels are hot as fuck! Personally I have a strong dislike for black rims and frankly I don't get the new trend. Black rims make a car look slow to me. I'm sure your car isn't slow, so go with those silver beauties.

I got these OEM optional wheels from Shogun32, a member here. Look him up if you're looking for wheels or tires.

Words cannot describe how happy I am to be rid of the standard OEM Black PP1 wheels. They took 18 hours to clean, and gave me arthritis in my hands.

I totally concur with your thinking. To me, black wheels are the easiest way to make a beautiful car like a Mustang, look ugly. Course Iā€™m in the 50 percent of car guys who like silver or chrome wheels and many today think black wheels are beautiful. Something for everybody.

Haha. I hear you about the cleaning. What the heck are they thinking. Spiderwebs. Iā€™ve always liked 5 stars. Thatā€™s what I went with too. Looks killer.
