Did it feel like it went into anything? I tried to put a micro sd card in the front slot earlier and it felt like it was just a hole.

I'm
Heading out of town tomorrow to get married and won't be back until next week. I'll try and get info up while I'm away that I can post up. I'll be away again the following week so it may delay things a little but after July 10th I'll be back at the very latest to get this started.
From the Katzkin thread.

Speaking of GPS, has anyone just put the antenna in the glove box and have it work normal or does it have to be up on the dash, haven't had the chance to use the nav yet.

tcman54 Dunno if it will work in glove box or not, I followed the suggestion in this install video and placed my GPS antenna under the top center dash trim piece and it appeared to work well the other day. He shows it at about 5:25 in the video.

Doh , never thought of doing that, I supposed I should take the dash piece off again and than the center trim piece and mount it there, the only problem is that I have lost so many of the little blue clips down into the car that's it a wonder the trim piece that goes over the air conditioning vents is still secure but it is.

Does anyone know where I can buy a bag of those blue clips?

Any help would be appreciated
Terry

Interesting... where would the opening be in the center console to run the wire through?
I didn't mess with the SD card, didn't even notice where the back or front slot was now that I think about it. What I did do was use OEMRadio's tip and take off the top of the dash and run my GPS antennae to where the stock ones are located so that I wouldn't have any wire visible and another wire running to my glove compartment. Very happy I did that instead of mounting visibly on the dash or in glove compartment.

I have only had mine in glovebox it works perfectly fine...
Only one time I started my car and it searched for gps signal for like 1 second but besides that I have had no problems

I suppose I should try to actually use the nav part (with the gps antenna in the glove box) before I get all bent out of shape about clips and stuff. :headbonk:

Nav usage is next on my list. :D
